Hi, I’m Heather — the artist and maker behind Wild Heather Clay.

What started as a creative outlet during a difficult season of life slowly became something that brought me purpose again. After the loss of my mother and becoming an empty nester, I found myself searching for something that was truly mine — something creative, meaningful, and healing. What began at my dining room table with a few pieces of clay quickly turned into a passion and eventually a business built with so much heart behind it.

Creating has always been therapeutic for me, and I pour that feeling into every piece I make. I’m inspired by natural colors and textures, graphic shapes, and the little details that make everyday style feel special. My goal is to create jewelry that is lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear while still feeling unique and beautifully handcrafted.

Every pair of earrings is made by me in small batches from my home studio in Dresden, Ohio. From mixing custom colors and shaping the clay to sanding, assembling, and packaging each order, I personally handle every step with care and attention to detail.

One of my favorite parts of this journey has been participating in local markets and meeting so many incredible people along the way. There’s something really special about getting to connect face-to-face, hear your stories, help someone find the perfect gift, and watch this little business grow through genuine relationships and community support. Many of my customers truly feel like family, and that has become one of the most meaningful parts of Wild Heather Clay.

When I’m not creating, you can usually find me preparing for my next market, packing orders listening to music, finding inspiration in nature, or spending time with family and friends.
